Marking up an Xref

Unlike contents or index entries, Xrefs have no internal nested structure. You can assign the content of any element in your source document to an Xref. This is done on the Content tab of the mapping.

Tick the Assign to index level or XREF box and select the XREF level.

The content of any occurrence of the mapped element will be assigned to an Xref entry, including any internal tagging which may be present. The following sections will explain how to make use of this captured material. It may be necessary to use a transform and a custom marker to get the content into the required format.
