Attributes

max-compress

Specifies the maximum amount of vertical space that can be removed from a data block when repositioning orphaned content. If the space required to reposition orphaned content exceeds the value of max-compress or the specified value is 0 then no vertical space may be removed. The default value for this option is 6pc/2.54cm.

max-paracompress

Specifies the maximum amount of inter-paragraph vertical space that may be removed when repositioning orphaned content. Set this value to 0 if TopLeaf is not permitted to reduce the paragraph spacing when fitting orphaned content within a preceding data block.

max-linecompress

Specifies the maximum amount of interline vertical space that can be removed when repositioning an orphaned paragraph or the content of a short page. If not specified, and orphaned content cannot be repositioned by reducing the inter-paragraph space, TopLeaf will attempt to reposition that content by reducing the line leading. Set this value to 0 if TopLeaf is not permitted to reduce the interline spacing when fitting orphaned content within a preceding data block.

TopLeaf will never remove vertical space within or between the rows of a table.
