Blank back pages

An optional blank page layout can be selected when rendering blank back pages inserted immediately before a leaf content break. It is customary for this layout to include an intentionally blank fixed block to assure the reader that there is no missing content.

If a blank page layout is not defined, blank back pages are rendered using the page type in force at the end of the previous page. It is not possible to render notes, floats, running heads or margin rules within a blank back page.

Like all other pages in a change pages publication, a blank back page must assign a unique page identifier.
