Manual leaf inclusion

If the content of a leaf is unchanged, you can manually include the leaf in an update. In some circumstances, manually including unchanged leaves will minimise the impact of input changes on the leaf numbering sequence.

TopLeaf provides two types of manual leaf inclusion. A soft leaf inclusion occurs when you want TopLeaf to include an unchanged leaf in an update, even if the content of that leaf is unchanged. A hard leaf inclusion occurs when you want TopLeaf to include an unchanged leaf in an update even if the rendered output of that leaf is unchanged.

You can use the TopLeaf workstation to manually include individual leaves, or use the TopLeaf API to assign the inclusion status for one or more leaves declared in a leaf list file.
