Options

The Options tab allows you to select various options that control the way data is displayed:

If your publication uses page footnotes, you can specify that the footnote text is to be organized into two columns by ticking the Double-column checkbox. When this is ticked the Column gap field is enabled, and can be used to control the space between the two columns of footnote text. The gap size is limited to half of the current page width.

The Table headers group allows you to control headers generated when a table breaks across a page. Select All columns to make the headers appear in all data blocks. Select First column to place the header in the first data block only. Select Individual if you want to select this for each data block (see “Data Block Fields”).

The Running heads group allows you to control running heads added at the top of a data block. Running heads are described in the Mapping Guide. Select All columns to make running heads appear in all data blocks. Select First column to place a running head in the first data block only. Select Individual if you want to select this for each data block (see “Data Block Fields”).

The Running feet group allows you to control running feet added at the bottom of a data block. Running feet are described in the Mapping Guide. Select All columns to make running feet appear in all data blocks. Select Last column to place a running foot in the last data block only. Select None to disable running feet (this is only necessary if you want to use running heads, but you don’t want running feet to appear). Select Individual if you want to select this for each data block (see “Data Block Fields”).

The Vertically spread paragraphs group allows you to control whether the composition may add extra space between paragraphs to fill the data block. Select All columns to enable vertical spreading in all data blocks. Select No columns to disable vertical spreading. Select Individual if you want to select this for each data block (see “Data Block Fields”).
