Link Lines

In a full looseleaf publication, a link line is a identifier that indicates a gap in the page numbering sequence.

Link lines may be implemented within the data region or within a fixed block. To indicate that a fixed block defines a link line, use the name linkline (all lower case) when creating it.

If you decide to use fixed block link lines, all page types must declare an appropriate fixed block; otherwise a link line message can be inadvertently lost. When the layout is saved, a check is made that all page types contain provision for a link line if at least one linkline fixed block is present. If not, a warning message will appear and ask you to confirm the save action.

See Full looseleaf publishing - Link Lines for more information.
